Testimony Of Jesus Christ by Ancient Prophets

in the Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon is “Another Testament of Jesus Christ” that stands with the Bible to testify of mission of Jesus Christ the son of God and Savior of the world.  This book is a sacred history of a branch of the House of Israel who left Jerusalem 600 B.C. to the Americas.  The prophets testified of the coming of Jesus Christ to atone for the sins of the world hundreds of years before his birth.   It includes the account of the visit of the resurrected Christ to the American continent in the year 34A.D. and ended with the account of the last prophet, Moroni, in 421 A.D.

Sample Chapters of the Book of Mormon

These chapters expressly show the prophetic preaching and testifying of Jesus Christ rather than historical events.   Did Joseph Smith write the book? The answer is no. It was written by many prophets and abridged by the prophet Mormon. As it states in the title page, the purpose of the book is "to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that JESUS is the CHRIST, the ETERNAL GOD, manifesting himself unto all nations." I testify to you that this book is the true word of God as is the Bible. It truly was translated from ancient records by the gift and power of God. As you read this Book you will see that it has great convincing power of this truth.

As Moroni, the last prophet, promises,"And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." (Moroni 10:4)
